The Nobel Women's Initiative and the Women's League of Burma launched the report for the International Tribunal on Crimes Against Women of Burma. The Tribunal was a catalyst for action on the situation in Burma.

The Rights & Democracy Network will hold its annual event in Montreal from May 6 to May 9, 2009. The Annual Event brings together Rights & Democracy Network members from across Canada, allowing them to look back at what was achieved in the last year, in order to build an even stronger Network for the years to come.
