Books Across Borders: A Fundraiser for the Students at the University of Zimbabwe

March 26, 2009 - 7-9 pm
Law students in Zimbabwe do not have access to supplies that we take for granted, from stationary to textbooks. Students have resorted to using plant leaves in place of paper. This fundraiser is intended to raise money to provide these students with such necessities.

The Delegation of the Rights & Democracy Network at McGill is holding its General Meeting on Thursday, February 19, 12-1pm in room ___ at the Law Faculty. We will be holding general elections for the incoming R&D Network Executive at this time. We will also be discussing programming activities for the Delegation for the current semester. Dear fellow students,

Have you heard of the Rights & Democracy Network? If not, are you interested in the field of human rights? Do you have a passion for social justice and change? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then we want you! The Delegation of the Rights & Democracy Network at McGill University is a new student organization at McGill with the specific mandate of promoting the project of human rights advocacy, education, and activism in the international community and Canada. We welcome you to attend a general informational meeting in the coming weeks to introduce you to the members of the Delegation Executive as well as discuss our proposed projects for the upcoming year.
